Have you had your TSH levels checked? That would be the first step. Your story reminds me of mine. I wake up every 1.5 hrs, anxiety, brain won't stop with the racing thoughts , along with heart racing. I have been just diagnosed 2 wks and am on Armour thyroid for hypothyroid. Take care and believe me I feel your pain...or should I say distress and anxiety.

You certainly should have thyroid tested.  It may be normal, then you should talk to your doctor about other possible causes.
