Call me crazy. I had the right side of the thyroid removed 3 weeks ago and the rest a week ago. Tel me how it is possible to have such "weight gain" or "bloatedness" in the tummy and hips. I have never been over weight and this is going to drive me nuts.  Beth

This may be a transient fluctuation in thyroid levels - it may take 3-4 weeks for things to level out.  Talk to your doctor about your symptoms.
