levothyroxine 50 mcg vs levothyroxine sodium .05 mg

I have been taking levothyroxine 50 mcg (little oblong tabs) for over a year.  I had my prescription refilled at a new pharmacy and they gave me levothyroxine .05 mg (little round tabs), which Drugs.com identifies as levothyroxine sodium.  Is this a proper equivilent?

Sounds like a simple question, but this topic is worth 100's of hours of debate.
In summary, you received a generic from a different manufacturer and it may not have the exact same effect as the other product, so retesting TSH in 6-8 weeks is recommended.
