palpable supraclavicular lymph node?

hi.  how are you today?  i hope you are well.

i've written in many times...female, had silent thyroiditis, was on syntrhoid, currently off synthroid and have had normal thyroid function for almost a year without meds.  however, i always have these daggone neck lymph nodes that always show up on sono.  i've never had any biopsied or fine needled because the lymph nodes look reactive/normal.  however, i feel a small lymph node on the left side just above my collarbone, and i feel like the entire left side of my neck is lumpy.  i did have a stomach virus a couple of weeks ago, and my kids have had strep.  should i just relax and wait a couple of weeks to see they go down?  maybe i'm being a hypochondriac, which i can be at times.  but what's normal?  should i be able to feel any lymph nodes above my collarbone?  it's not huge, but i can't feel any on the other side.

thanks,
maria

thanks.

Iron supplements would not cause a lymph node.  Thyroiditis can cause a prominent lymph node that this may be unrelated to your thyroid condition.  If this lymph node persists then seeing an ENT for further evaluation may be appropriate however we have 100s of lymph nodes in the head and neck and most of these are benign enlargement that are transient.

also, i started taking iron supplements about a month ago because my hemoglobin was 9.6 and all the other values indicated iron deficiency anemia.  tsh and free t4 and all other values were normal.  could iron supps contribute to swollen cervical lymph nodes?

thanks a bunch.
