pregnancy after thyroidectomy?

I am 32 with a 8 year old daughter. I like to have another child but currently I am so busy with my job and my thesis.
I have multinodular goiter problem. Drs say I need thyroidectomy to remove both nodules and the thyroid gland. I can have this surgery this year but my problem is the pregnancy after that. would you please tell me whether or not it could be dangerous for the baby?

Regards

The pregnancy should not be effected by thyroid surgery and levothyroxine replacement which would follow thyroid gland removal.  Would need to make sure levels are appropriate before trying to conceive.  This is a common scenario.  The main question is indication for thyroid surgery -- ie, suspicious biopsy, compressive symptoms, thyroid nodule over-activity....would make sure there is a clear indication before removing the thyroid.
