unexplained seizure with skyrocketing thyroid count
Female, mid-50s, has unexplained grand-mal and ER doc noted thyroid number at 16 which normalized later same day. No previous seizure, no family history. Two small nodules show on thyroid. Subsequent test shows normal TSH. Three months later, trying to wean off Keppra another seizure, same results with thyroid numbers. Nobody can determine cause of seizures and recommend life long medication, Lamotrigine and Keppra. Thoughts?

The transient high TSH levels may have been secondardy to the seizure activity.

Doubtful (with otherwise consistently normal thyroid levels) that thyroid caused the seizure.
