Hi , I took your opinion and started titrating off of ATD's I had been on them for 15 mos, and my endo was adding synthroid because a low dose of 5mg and even 2.5 mg of MMI a day sent me hypo. I started titrating down from 2.5mg every day to 2.5mg everyother day for one month, and then I went down to 2.5mg every two days for two weeks, and then 2.5mg every three days for a week, and then every four days for a week, until I tritrated off. My question is this,.......when did this tritating become a NON DOSEING EFFECT. Does it still work even if I am taking such a mynute amount? Or does it become in effective? So would you say I haven't had any blocking effect to my thyroid while tritrating off,..........or does a small amount still do something?

It can still work even with low doses --- we usually stop it after 2.5mg every other day --- but talk to your doctor about your individual case.
