Hand tremor
Tremor in my

Hand tremor, my blood
pressurePressure ulcer was elevated and my hear was poinding and I just felt bad. After a series of tests, I was found to have excess androgens as well as testosterone and put on
spironolactoneSpironolactone
Spironolactone plus
Spironolactone-hydrochlorothiazide for it. My calcium levels, white cell count and carbon dioxide levels were also slightly abnormal and my cholesterol was high. My thyroid tests were all normal, but my TSH had gone from .79 to 2.27 in about 5 months and my doctor thought it would be something to watch. He felt my problems were likely endocrine related and referred me. I saw an endocrinologist in April who also felt it would be a good idea to repeat the thyroid tests 6 months from the last test as well as increase the dose of spiro and come back in 8 weeks for a follow up. In May, I noticed a lump in my throat when I swallowed that wasnt there before and went I went for my follow up in early June, spoke to the endocrinologist about it. He recommended that I have an ultrasound and possibly a biopsy on it, which I am scheduled to do in a few weeks as well as have another set of tests done for my thyroid, an a1c, lipids, sex hormone and complete metabolic panel. He said based on those results he may have a diagnosis of metabolic syndrome for me. In the last two weeks I have had a few other things come up that worry me. The tremor in my hands has come back, I have no appetite but am not losing weight, I sweat a lot and wake up nightly because I am wet and my hair seems to be falling out more than usual. Can all of these problems be caused by the thyroid nodule even though my thyroid levels are within normal limits? Could it be a cancerous nodule due to the fact that it grew so fast?
My question is, what is abnormal calcium? Was it in the tens or higher? If so, then I hope your endo is looking into your parathyroid, too. Have they measured your parathyroid hormone? I know that hair falls out with parathyroid disease usually in people older than 50 - www.parathyroid.com . Also, what's this lump like? Is it always there? I feel one sometimes, too, but I'm starting to think it's related to GERD.
Good luck and keep us posted!
