Hi, Sorry there is no cure for hypothyroidism, but there are treatments.  Hypothyroidism is the underproduction of the thyroid hormone needed to regulate your body normally.  People who are deficient in this hormone, need hormnone replacement  so that their thyroid functions properly, in turn helping them to feel well, and have the body function properly. You cannot go without the hormone, because you will get sick, and being severly deficient can kill you.  That isn't to scare you, but it is just a fact.  People with hypothyroidism have to stay on medication for the duration of their life, but it's not that bad, just one small little pill, once a day, and feeling alittle yucky why trying to find that optimal dose that will be needed.  Hope this helped.  Shannon
