Elevated free T4

After 6 weeks therapy with Synthroid 75mcg my TSH came down FROM 41 to 4.95. but my T4 was 133. Antibodies > 1000. What is the significance of elevated Free T4. Does it mean I'm not converting to T3. Endo upped my synthroid to 100mcg. For retest in 6 weeks.
By the way, I started selenium as suggested and I feel so much better. I think it particularly helped my skin which was so intensly itchy I scratched till I bled.

Would not worry much about the elevated T4 at this stage -- it does not mean you are not converting to T3.  If it stays elevated, then this will be reflected in the TSH being too low at the next blood test then you will know the synthroid dose is too high (synthroid is T4).

The improvement is likely more from the synthroid than the selenium - but both are helpful.
