FNA biopsy results

The following is the results of my FNA.  I am still some what concerned although the doctor said everything is fine.

Diagnosis   Consistent with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

Comments
Follicular cells and Hurthle cells in a background of lymphoid cells present
Please correlate with clinical circumstances

I am on 75mg of synthroid and my TSH is presently 2.3 in was down to 1.84 in June on same amount of synthroid.

This is benign - you have hashimotos -- assuming you have positive thyroid antibodies, the FNA is typical of HASHI.

I had my thyroid removed due to Follicular Cancer.  I know it had something to do with Follicular Cells.  I would check into this a little deeper.

I had a biopsy come back atypical. I decided to have a thyroidectomy due to family history of thyroid cancer and patholgy came back as hurtle cells. It was worth having it out, so now I do not have to worry about cancer...I had Hashimotos aswell
