Hasimoto's thyroiditis/thyroid storm

Hi,I'm female 44 years. 4 weeks ago had hemi-thyroidectomy on left lobe + 4.5cm nodule. Pathology: benign adenoma,+ Hashimoto's thyroiditis. TSH 2.7 T4 14.5. No replacement medication given, non prior to surgery. Undiagnosed Hashimoto's for 15 years. Had symptoms but levels always normal. I have recently lost 12 kilos without trying (lucky me!)
1 week ago, sudden extreme tiredness, feeling like the flu, within  20 minutes severe chills+uncontrollable shakes. Temp 37.7c.Went to the hospital,(45 min. drive)temp on arrival 39.9c tachycardia, blood pressure 177/110 (normally 127/95) Blood+urine tests, no abnormalities. Chest x-ray clear.EKG showed some abnormality.Next day normal.Admitted, given anti-biotics 4 hourly intravenously. After two days, more blood tests+cultures, no abnormalities. temp was 37.6 most of the time. Anti-biotics were changed. WBC was normal.
On day 4 blood tests, slight elevation in inflammation. Doctor felt was no other explanation but bacterial infection brought on by a cavity in one tooth. Taking Augmentin Duo, orally.
  2 sisters+mum take thryoid medication.
Mum had thyroid storm prior to her being diagnosed for Hyperthyroidism. Her symptoms were identical to my own this week.
My question is; did I have thyroid storm?

Not likely a true storm, but suspicious for hyperthyroidism  -- potentially due to palpation thyroiditis (ie handling of the right lobe during the left lobectomy) -- this is usually transient and simple thyroid labs would document this -- if the levels you give are during all these symtpoms then this is not the case though.  Would keep an eye on the thyroid levels over time to make sure they remain normal.
