Have Hashi's, increased liklihood of having Adrenal Antibodies?

by dfurlong, Jun 18, 2007 12:00AM
I have been diagnosed with Hashis.  What is the liklihood that since I have one autoimmune disorder that I would have another (such as having adrenal antibodies)?

Also, can adrenal antibodies be tested if I am currently taking steroids? (taking Cortef)?

Thank you,
Dawn

Not likely, but once there is one autoimmune disease there is an increased probability of others.  Most of my hashi patients only have hashi.  You can have adrenal antibodies tested while on cortef.
