Hormone glands

I have been treated for hypothyroid for some time now .My levels were TSH of 118 5 months ago, and have now dropped to 4 on the last test.on 137mcg synthroid. New test due end of month. I had brain MRI done last mont showing palulitary gland inflammed, and the I had a kidney stone a couple of weeks ago and the ER did a CT scan of pelvis and found my left adrenial gland was inflamed or the say hyper somthing. I know that both these glands are hormone producers and are they in this condition due to the hypo condition im in ,being they are over worked. I have still been getting anxiety attacts maybe due to adrenial gland problem.

Please give me your thoughts..

The adrenal and the pituitary both sound like they are hyperplastic (overgrown)-- in the case of the pituitary it is most likely because of the increased TSH production in the recent past -- this should improve in time.  The adrenals may be this way due to increased pituitary ACTH production due to the stress of the hypthyroidim, but if it is only the left - may consider additional adrenal testing such as 24h urine for cortisol and metanephrines.  In either case, likely follow-up imaging in 3 months to confirm nothing else is going on.  With the kidney sone, consider testing PTH and calcium levels.

One more item. Do have severe nasal congestion, not infection that has lasted this whole time, 24/7. Taking fonase, but what would cause the congestion, have no alergies (allergies). some say patluitary gland, since it is right behind the sinuses.
