Joint pain thyroidectomy

I am a 55 year old male that has had my thryoid rewmoved.  I have never had any joint pain prior to this, and now have pain in ankle and wrist joints only.  My MD says that the synthroid dose is adequate. Any suggestions as to tests that might verify this.  I have also been very sluggish in the afternoons.

Goal TSH is around 1.0 -- check your recent labs to make sure it's on target.

Me, too .. ankle pain that started out of the blue one day a year ago .. same time as some other hypo symptoms developed .. now they attribute the muscle pain to thyroid .... but I my #'s should be much better on 75mcgs of Synthroid (blood work again next week) but now I am wondering if I strained the muscles somehow and they need to be strengthened with exercise so they can have a chance to *heal*.  Mine is awful in early AM and very painful for first 5mins waking up .. some days cannot put pressure on foot .. since upping Synthroid muscle cramps in calf went way and no help with extra calcium or magnesium added to diet so not that.

I hope you find an answer .....

I am 52, have been hypothyroid (Hashi's) for 16 years.  Now waiting for blood test results.  Also, mildly anemic according to test results last summer but my former MD said it wasn't low enough to be symptomatic (even though I am symptomatic).  Have had ankle and knee joint pain for several years.  Unable to keep up with walking program.  Currently have significant, bilateral hip pain and diffuse back pain.  Body feels "on fire" at times.  Fatigue is no longer manageable.  Menopause has just confounded things.  Saw new MD who has changed all of my HRT as the ones I was taking interfered with thyroid hormone.  Any comments?  How should I be treating my anemia?

Can you please explain your anemia symptoms? I am going nuts this past year with lightheadedness after dx of hypothyroidism (hashi) & my hemocrit & hemoglobin & RBC are marked low. My ferritin level is 30. The doctors are giving me MRI's, cat scans etc. & I feel this is a result of anemia.  Are you having these symptoms??  Let's get to the bottom of this together....good luck & please let me know...
