During and after pregnancy (for about 6 months after) a
womanWomen's way is at increased risk for thyroid disease. Having positive antibodies may make this more likely to be a chronic problem, but this is also seen in some cases of transient post-partum thyroiditis (inflammation of the trhyroid).
If you are on levothyroxine, need to keep the TSH around 1.0.
If the antibodies are positive, an ultrasound can help detect if there are nodules.
