Secondary Cancers

I was diagnosed with Follicular and Papillary Thyroid Cancers this past March.  I have had my thyroid removed and underwent radioactive iodine treatment.  What are my chances of a secondary cancer and what types?  I have heard secondary cancers are common with Thyroid Cancer and have also read that Leukemia is a possible side effect of Radioactive Iodine Treatment.

Secondary cancers are found at a slightly increased rate but this may be due to the fact that we are looking more closely at x-rays etc in patients who have already had one cancer.  The risk overall is very low.  Leukemia rate is very low until the total I-131 dose (ie, add up all the I-131 you've had -- which at this point is probably 100mCi or less) is >500 or even higher.
