So Confused

I wrote to you the other day and told you about my TSH and my last TSH was 22.7 and the doctor phoned and said he was concerned that my cholesterol was high and wanted to prescribe an RX for it and I told you that I thought cholesterol would run high with a TSH this high, is this not common?  Also I have been taking Iosol (Iodine) for thyroid function, have you heard of this and if so is it beneficial?

Thanks so much.

Yes the cholesterol can be high -- would usually treat thyroid first then re-eval cholesterol.  iodine is not likely to resolve your thyroid problem - levothyroxine is the standard of caer.
