Synthroid dosage

I had a near total thyroidectomy on March 28 (90% of thyroid removed).  This was due to a large multinodular goiter that I've had for several years which kept growing.  The pathology report determined that it is Hashimoto's.  While in the hospital my doctor put my on 75 mg of Synthroid for now until I return the end of May for more tests to determine if this is the right dosage for me.

My question is having Hashimoto's and a near total thyroidectomy what range do doctor's aim for when trying to stabalize your TSH levels.  Before the surgery I was not hypo and my thyroid was functioning normally and my TSH was 1.63 (Lab range is 0.3 - 3.0).  Is this the level they will aim for?

The goal will be 0.3-2.0 (if you continue to use that lab).  With 90% removed you will need about 0.6-0.7mcg/pound of body weight.
