T3 added to Synthroid 125cmcg

I've been on Synthroid 125mcg for over 13yrs. My TSH is above the normal range.( I'm not in the range at all i'm above on the charts. Higher than the high mark)Dr wants to put me on Cytomil 10mg to go along with it. I read that it can affect my TSH levels, could possibly raise them higher. I am also insulin resistant now and I need to know how taking the Metformin is going to affect this as a whole.

Cytomel 10mcg is the equivalent of adding 40mcg of synthroid.  The addition of thyroid hormone usually decreases TSH.

Metformin can be taken with thyroid meds, but would take the thyroid meds at least 30 minutes before a meal, and metformin after a meal.
