Primary and secondary hypothyroidism symptoms. My MD switched me to
ArmourArmour thyroid and my life has never been better. I feel great mentally, have lots of energy, and am losing weight (due to more energy to exercise). I just had my follow up blood work done this week (after 2 months on
ArmourArmour thyroid) and my
TSHPituitary and tsh
Tsh was .261 (range .3-5.5). Even though I am out of the range the MD decided to keep me on my current Armour dose (120mg)
My question:
Am I okay to stay on this dose, given that I am slightly out of the range, but feel great with no hyperthyroid symptoms? I worry about heart complications (I have no symptoms, though) and bone loss.
Thank you for your time and devotion to this site... you truly are a life saver!
I am just beginning to research the very questions you are asking. I have found an excellent site that goes into the lab tests and dosing schedules from people who have used Armour for years. You might want to take a look at it. They seem very knowledgeable. There are articles as well as a forum.
