Thyroglobulin is a marker of thyroid protein -- it can tell difference between thyroid cancer and
normalNormal saline flush remaining non-cancerous thyroid tissue. Also, to measure it accurately, the thyroglobulin antibody must be negative (in other words, must measure Tg-Ab every time a Tg is measured).
That being said, a Tg of 3.9 is a

So, depending on all these things, would consider retest in 3 months while on

Levothyroxine sodium medication and re-evaluate.
