'claiming' is the key word -- no data to support the use of these products. Selenium, often contained in these products, has been shown to perhaps help lower thyroid antibodies and does support thyroid function -- but a multivitamin is a more cost-effective way to ensure adequate selenium than these well-marketed gimmicks.
