Thyroidectomy

Dear MD & anyone who has suggestions please HELP

I have had Thyroidectomy approx. 2 years ago and is having a huge problem with fluid retention.  I am on .150mg of Synthroid, with many other problems, however the one that drives me crazy is the water retention, I can't seem to mange it, some days I am OK, and some days not.  Sometimes I feel like a waterlogged person, I can barely move, everything is very heavy, even my tongue gets swollen, I am taking indapamide 1.25 mg but then my potassium gets low, then I get all kinds of cardiac problems.  Right now I am eating large amounts of fresh parsley as a natural diauretic.  Has anyone tried something that works, please advise.

It's unlikely the thryoid if the TSH is in range (0.5-2.0 in most cases like yours).  Would check liver, kidney, heart and urine -- if normal then diuretics, compression stockings and exercise are the best bet.  Check with your internist for direction.
