Tightness in Neck

by Deborah34, Aug 23, 2008 05:46PM
I had a TT on August 6th.  Since then I'm experiencing lots of tightness in my neck.  Is this normal? How long should it last and what causes it?

Thank you.

This is normal for 3-6 weeks (sometimes more) after surgery but talk to the surgeon to make sure there is nothing wrong.

Had/sometimes still have the same.  Surgery 6/24.  It is greatly improved but I also had to go hypo for cancer treatment ri131 and it got worse during that time.  SO... I am counting on it improving again now that the treatment is over and I am back on medication for hypothyroidism. Good luck!
