Hi Dr.
My biopsy results are unclear to me, could you translate for me please.
Present amidst a background of predominantly blood, it is only within one of the smears where ther is seen limited follicular epithelial sampling with no evidence of colloid apreciated. A few small sheets of follicular epithelial cells appear bland and uniform. A few other
clustersCluster headaches of follicular epithelial cells, however, show pseudopapillary type architectecture with crowding of follicular epithelial cells, overlap of follicular epithelial cell nuclei and mild anisonucleosis with some
nuclearNuclear ventriculography irregularities. Thus, as described, there is limited follicular epithelial sampling which precludes more definitive assessment; however, as noted, there are features present which prompt suspicion, and on the present sampling, the possibility of a neoplastic process such as papillary carcinoma cannot be excluded. Thus, clinical correlation is required; consideration may be given to further evaluation, at a minimum; re-aspiration in an attempt to gain more cellularity for evaluation.
I am a 39 year old Mom and worried.
Thank you
