feel better without medication. What to do?

TSH- around 40. T4 -6. Was taking levothyroxine 25 and got blood results to normal, but was feeling so sick that  I stopped.
Started to feel OK, but doctor said I should take levothyroxine. I tried Armour 1/4 grain, took it for 2 weeks, felt even worse -- as if I am about to pass out. Stopped that too. What to do? Where to go? What to take (or not) ? Any suggestions?

Sounds like you need treatment for the hypothyroidism.  With this reaction, it may be important to check cortisol to exclude adrenal insufficiency.

Otherwise, would use levothyroxine (rather than armour) and slowly increase from 1/2 of a 25mcg tablet (ie increase the dose every 7 days or so by 12.5mcg) with a target of 75-100mcg and re-evaluate.

Thank you for your answer. One more question if I may: Why should I am to take 75- 100 mcg of levothyroxine  if my blood results get absolutely normal on 25mgc? Thank you in advance. Anna
