can anyone tell me what thyroid test result supposed to read I.m told thy are border line and no treatment given as yet, I don't know anything about thyroid problems but I have this feeling of something stuck in my throat and a hoarse voice most of the time

Hoarseness is usually not thyroid -- but can be.  An ENT specialist is the best person to see about the hoarseness.  Borderline thyroid labs can often be watched without treatment -- would repeat in a few months to see a trend.  Also would perform thyroid ultrasound and antibodies to complete the eval.

You are entitled to ask for the test results and the normal ranges. Write them down & post them here for comment. Ms H

They finally decided to do a total thyroidectomy and found later in the biopsy that it was cancer. Insist on thyroid scan I had cold nodules but all blood tests were normal

I've had hoarseness after my Thyroidectomy, but didn't have it before.  I would have it checked by an ENT Dr.

hoarseness ALWAYS happens to me when I am not balanced out. As a matter of fact-it is the FIRST thing I notice. No sore throat or anything just wraspy haosreness.

I have seen a ENT Dr about the feeling in my throat and the hoarsness, I had a barium swallow, scan and and the camera down and they can't find anything wrong only the blood test for my thyroid which was not right at first but since has settle down. I will be having another blood test in January for my thyroid and hope to let you know more then. Until then any info will help. thanks for your comments.

Sorry I forgot to say that I also have very dry eyes and I believe that this can be a sign of thyroid problems, a eye Dr has done blood tests as well and I will be having the results for those in aprox December.
