follicular cell

My 29 year old daughter has 3 masses in her thyroid and has had blood tests which were all normal, although at the lowest level of normal.  She has had a needle biopsy which had fibrin rare follicular cells.  The ent said to wait a year and maybe have the thyroid removed as her masses could turn to cancer.  Is it ok to wait a year and is follicular cells in the thryroid mass cancer?

Follicular cells are thyroid cells - when the specimen shows only rare thyroid cells then it is suboptimal for evaluation and repeat FNA under ultrasound guidance is suggested to obtain a better sample so the pathologist can see if any of the follicular cells are suspicious.  Would consider seeing an endocrinologist/thyroid expert for evaluation.
