you have hashimoto's -- treatment is not necessary with the current TSH levels -- in some cases there are paradoxical 'hyper" symptoms which actually get better with low dose levothyroxine, but with the current TSH, would not be compelled to treat -- it would be trial/error and would lean towards even 1/2 of a 25mcg dose if you do start meds.

Just wanted to let you know that I too have hashimoto's and have had tons of hyper symptoms. I think they go both ways...It has taken 15 months and I am still not stablized :)

are you on any kind of medication and if yes what?
Hi Hypogirl80

My Doctor said I have Hashimoto and I tested positive for the antibodies for hashimoto.

Your T3 and T4 does not match your TSH, better let the doctor answer your question.

Hi, thanks for the advice. Is there 12.5mcg dose or do I have to cut it in half. Would I have to be tested after 6 weeks for my tsh. Do I keep on taking the athenolol (beta blockers) and if so, I take it at 7:30 am. At what time should I take the  levothyroxine. Is it the same as syntroid.
Thank you
