I do not recommend the protocols that suggest the dose is increased by the patient according to symptoms. The usual conversion from 125mcg of levoxyl is about 75mg of Armour. I do agree with dosing armour 2x/day -- so one could start with 45mg in the am and 30mg in early afternoon if converting from 125mcg of T4 -- but check with your doctor first and always involve your doctor with the use of any prescription medication.

I'm not a doctor, but another thyroid patient in this forum introduced me to the website www.stopthetyroidmadness.com and it explains dosage in there from going from Levoxyl back to Armour. Following the day you stop you start on Armour if I am not mistaken 30 mcg in am and 30 around noon and you do this for about 2 weeks and then dosage is increased from that point. See your doctor for specifics. My doctor is using this route for me.
