keloid

I have recently had a partial thyroid removed, i developed an infection in my neck and since the operation i have felt that my neck is swollen inside and pressing against my windpipe, it is not a nice feeling and i am concerned that it will be permanent due to a Keloid which has developed.  My thyroid levels are also a bit low and until i get some thyroxin tablets so i feel exhausted.  Am i going to feel better soon?

The thyroid medication to normalize thyroid function may  help with any increase in residual thyroid size due to hypothyroidism.  If there is an infection, then swelling may not respond and antibitotics or surgical removal of infection may be needed.  The keloid is not likely to press on the windpipe.  In some cases surgical revision of scar is necessary, but this is not common.
