by patil150, Sep 10, 2008 01:33PM
Recent laboratory results shows that I am having total Bilirubin 1.6 mg/dl (high) and unconj. bilirubin 1.1 mg/dl
also Vit b12 value 19287 pg/ml doctor says this high b12 value is due to cobalmin and intramacular injections.

I did endoscopy normal mucosa observed. chest X ray report normal. Spinal cord no abnormiliity. stomach x ray no calcination normal report. ultrasonography normal report. but I am having abdominal pain and numbness in hand and feet. it increases in night. doctor now gave me gabapentin 300 mg but this is anticonvulsant. so when I stop taking it the numbness and tingling starts again. its constant throuhout the day. mouth dry problem due to worry what is the problem.

Earlier doctor thought its colitis, I still have pain in upper abdominal pain, near liver and at bottom, in centre.
tingling sensation, numb hands and feet. skin sensitive to touch. I cant take bedsheet on foot. sexual dysfunction.
I am fade up with the diagonosis and the tests . I am also having normal TSH. 0.9  by elisa method.

my WBC count was 6000 earlier which fall down to 5010. hemoglobin earlier it was 13.5 now its 15.3 g/dl
serum folate 16.6 ng/ml (high)

Pls help me out what will be the cause. I am fade up with this life from last two months.

If the B12 is that high, it is possible you have another B vitamin excess - B6 - which I think may cause these symptoms.  The normal TSH suggests it is not thyroid related.  A neurologist usually is the best person to help sor this out.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing so many health issues.  I had MAJOR fatigue in January, to visit doctor after doctor, and really no diagnosis until, by a CT scan, found a thyroid nodule.  I had my thyroid removed 7/1, and I can tell you that all my fatigue, depression, weight gain, muscle pain was attributed to the thyroid, even though my  blood tests came back 'normal' my body was not producing enough thyroid hormone.  I think that due to your hands and feet tingling you may have low calcium levels or diabetes, but I would also insist on having a thyroid scan and check your free T3 & T4 levels, along with having a Lyme antibody test done.  I also tested positive for Lyme, which caused all the above symptoms, and the ones you're experiencing (the heart, the stomach, low blood pressure), and had to be on antibiotics, and got somewhat better, but I still was sick until my thyroidectomy.  I felt like I couldn't go on, either,  with worsening fatigue, and I'm a very positive person, so it was frightening to change so drastically and only be told by doctors 'they either didn't know' or 'you're depressed' and try to hand me a script for some type of pill that will make me feel worse.
Keep pursuing the thyroid/Lyme issues.  I wish you well, my friend!  Please post after you've investigated the thyroid.

Hugs
Margaret
