36 yrs old, female.on medication for hypothyroidism.100mcg of thyronorm.tests 6 months back revealed a tsh of 4.last month the tsh went up to 7.i was feeling sluggish, tired and i knew my metabolism was not alright inspite of excercise.my doctor increased the dosage to 125mcg.after 2 weeks now my skin feels so dry,my throat very very sore.my throat has always been sore ever since my thyroid medicine was changed from thyroxine to thyronorm,4 yrs back.this affects my routine life and constantly leads to headaches.is it also part of the hypothyroidism package to have such throat pains.what is the solution to this issue?should i watch out for any other illness?what if i stop taking the medicine?looking forward toyour reply doctor(s)

Would not stop the medication as with 100mcg the TSH was 4-7 -- suggesting a true need for treatment.  Would consider thyroid ultrasound to determine size and extent of inflammation as cause of "sore throat."  Would give the increased dose some more time as numerically that was the right move.
