What are the effects of Thyrocine as compared with thyroxine plus Triiodothyronine in patients with Hypothyroidism?

by Mark Lupo, M.D., Dec 13, 2005 12:00AM
I have not used thyrocine - I believe it comes in a cream form.  I have not seen publications regarding consistency of thyroid hormone treatment via the skin (ie cream, patch, gel) so would be cautious.  Would stick with T4/T3 combo treatment orally for the time being until more data is available.
