thyroidectomy in 2006

by efg714, Nov 01, 2009 01:02PM
Ever since my total thryoidectomy in 2006 secondary to papillary cancer, my weight has steadily increased by 20 lbs. I get tired easily and notice that the weight is centered around my abdomen. I just don't feel good. I still do most everything I did before, just with less verve. My thryoid levels are ok and I am taking 175 mcg once a day.
Is this normal? What can i do to feel better all around?

You could aske your doctor about the addition of cytomel, else there is not much to do from a thyroid standpoint.
