tsh readings

Hi

I'm new to this forum so please be patient.  I have Hyperthyroid , Graves disease as well as a goiter.  I am extremely confused about the TSH Readings.  If the Tsh level is .22 does that mean that my metabolism is going slower or faster as to 1.24.

I have been taking Tapazole (different amounts) for the past to years.  Approximately 2 times I got the glow(that's what I call it) but it doesn't stay more that 4 days and disappears, is there any explaination for this?  Recently I had some blood work done & we found that I have to much Vit B12 & ferritin...could this be the reason.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks  for you input.

lower tsh means more hyperthyroid -- so in general an increase in metabolism.

I don't know of a "glow" from high vitamin b12 but high ferritin is sometimes (rarely) a reflection of hemochromatosis which can cause a sun-tanned appearance.

My thyroid readings have been bouncing around all over the place & have not stabalized(glow).  Is it possible that the high readings from the Vit b12 & ferritin are causing the meds to not be obsorbed properly?

Thank you very much for all your help.  This forum is great!  Keep up the good work.
