weight gain and unable to loss weight

I have had an ongoing problem for almost 2 years and it is about to drive me crazy.  I was once over 260 lbs. and with diet and exercise, in about 2 years was down to a size 0 and 100 lbs.  Towards the end of my weight loss, I became obsessive with exercise and the scale and I became anorexic.  After I got so small, my body began to gain weight with no apparent reason.  I gained 7 lbs in one week! I went to numerous doctors and they ran so much tests but could never pinpoint it to anything. After awhile I began to stop exercizing and eating right (what was the point) and have gained 60 lbs.  About a month ago I have started back to eating right and exercising without any success.  A nutritionist told me it was my metabolism from being anorexic but it has been nearly 2 years! I dont know what to do.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is not likely a thyroid issue.  Would work with a nutritionist and your general doctor.

Check out a book by Tom Venuto called: Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle.  It will explain what you did to your metabolism.  It's a good starting place

You're going to have to be patient without going to an extreme as you did in the first run around.

The inner circle is accessible if you pay ($9,.95) but there is no contract and you can pay for one month and stop.  A great deal of information can be gleaned there.

Good Luck

Thanks for your advice!

But dont you think my metabolism would be back to normal after nearly 2 years!! I have been dieting correctly and exercising normally for more than a month with not even a one pound loss or any inches gone!

Reading the questions from people not being properly diagnosed with thyroid problems has me thinking that maybe I have one also that is being overlooked.  Even though i have been tested many times, maybe I still need to get tested again.  I dont know!

It seems as if i have tried everything!

Hi,

Not all weight issues are caused by thryoid.

Seeing you are having such a problem losing weight, consider food sensitivities.  These can block weight loss.  One of the most common is gluten.  Gluten is found in wheat, rye, barley, oats, and anything made from these.

Try a gluten free diet and see if it helps.  Also, you may wish to cut out refined carbs.

Best wishes

I didn't say that it was the answer, I said it would give you a good starting place.  While weight is not a problem with many, that's not the case for all.  More than likely the solution isn't going to be that easy to find.  According to what you wrote, you've only started eating correctly a month ago.  Give it time but don't quit doing what you know to be right or eating properly without going to an extreme.
