Boils.

My son and his wife have had boils reoccurring frequently.  They've taken the prescribed antibiotics as directed but the boils continue to reappear.  Is there anything other than staph infection that could cause this condition?  Is there any cure or homeopathic remedy that you could recommend?

I went through a horrible period when I would get extremely painful boils.  Mine would show up under my arm pits and, even more painful sites, like my genital area.  After about a month of undergoing the discomfort, I mentioned my problem to my endocrinologist and he tested me for DM (Diabetes Mellitus), which came back negative.  From that point on, I took steps to make sure that I wasn't moving staph back and forth on my body.  If you're a woman and wear acrylic fingernails, it would be wise to have them removed because they're a direct staph trapper and may contribute to the problem.  The other measure is to always wash, wash, wash--with an antibacterial or antimicrobial hand soap.  Hope this helps:-)
