Hyperthyroid for almost 3 years without treatment.

Hello, I have done everything I can to get insurance, but my jobs don't last long enough to get it and I have a pre-existing condition (BiPolar Disorder).  I know that I'm hyperthyroid because I've had blood tests that test for lithium at the State Psych Clinic.  However, even though I can see a doctor for $70 plus $150 billed, they will refer me to an Endocrinologist and I'm worried that I'll be billed forever just to get a scan done and whatever tests are needed.  I'm also worried about a "thyroid storm" since I've been told that this can happen quickly and be uncontrollable and lead to hospitalization.

How much does the visits cost, medication, bills, etc. (I'm not talking about blood tests which I get for free)?

I cannot answer questions about cost in your area.
If you are able to get lab tests covered, then please see a specialist to get the thyroid evaluated and treated as thyroid dysfunction can aggravate the bipolar disorder and cause heart as well as other health problems.

I have been in your shoes for a good while. I have been on disability for several years. I was in a car wreck which wasn't my fault. It's caused a host of illness. When I moved in the condo with my mother. She made sure I got some kind of insurance.
She had me check with Humana. It is wonderful. My monthly costs is 36.60. I only have the one income. So it fits but the savings is great. It's cut my prescription cost down int half. And once you get full coverage the savings is great again.
Doctors copay are the cheapest on any plan. You can go online and check it out.
