Normal TSH, Low Free T4 (.8), High T3 (226)

Can you tell me exactly what these results mean?  I have a goiter & a cystic nodule on my thyroid.  Do I need to be on any type of meds?

Meds not necessarily indicated unless the TSH is abnormal.
The nodule/cyst should be evaluated by ultrasound (which has likely already been done)  to see if it requires FNA biopsy.

most common reason for lowish free T4 and high total T3 with normal TSH ----- birth control pill or other estrogen treatment.  No thyroid meds needed if this is the case.

You say birth control or other estrogen usage is the most common reason for high T3 but what if you have not ever used anything that contains estrogen yet you develop cardiac issues one day a and thyroid panel reveals high T3 but normal TSH and T4 should T3 really be overlooked because TSH says everything is normal? what could cause this to  happen without estrogen usage?
