Hi everyone, ever so often, I mention articles from two different Depts. of the National Institutes of Health, One of them released by the "National Institute of Allergies and Infectious Diseases", the other by the "National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases".
The article by NIAID, is about research they conducted, finding that 'Chronic Fatigue Syndrome' patients have subclinincal hypocortisolism (adrenal insufficiency). The article by NIAMS, states the same thing about 'Fibromyalgia' patients, having hypocortisolism.
I though I would give the actual web addresses for these government released articles. Sorry the addresses are ridiculously long but take time and type them in exactly as I list them, it will be INTERESTING READING. These demonstrate that things can go wrong with the "HPA Axis" and adrenal hormones can be blunted by diseases/disorders. They conclude in these that cortisol-replacement is not merited but they suspect "Flourinef" might help such patients that don't have full blown adrenal insufficiency (Addison's etc...). Ar1281a, you Doc is trying Flourinef on you, is that right?
NIAID article: "www.nih.gov/news/pr/oct96/niaid-13.htm" (5th parag. down).
NIAMS Article: "www.fibromyalgia-support.org/fibromyalgia/fibromyalgia-research.htm" (2nd parag. down).
These are proof of subclinical adrenal insufficiency!

The second article I gave by NIAMS, you have to put "http://", just in front of the address i gave or it won't go there!!!

Correction again, at also at the end of the NIAMS (fibromyalgia) website, it is "html" not just "htm".
Sorry about that.

Yes, I'm on a very small dosis of Florinef (0.05 mg) and it has helped and although I feel better, I'm not there yet and I miss feeling good! (well, I guess like everybody else in here).

I'll read the articles. Again, thanks jimlow!
