hyperthyroid?

Hi my Dr did some blood work and my hormones came back fine she said but my thyroid level was high. I had a baby VIA csection 5 months ago and  problems, rapid bowel movements, increased hunger( nausea if i don't eat), absent period since post partum bleeding stopped, but my heart rate resting is around 54. Could this really be hyperthyroidism and is there an alternative to a thyroid and uptake scan? Please help me been so sick and have been through all tests from CT Scans to xrays to hida scan.

Hyperthyroidism 5 months postpartum can be either Graves' disease or postpartum thyroiditis.  Sometimes, with ultrasound and a blood test for TSI we can make this distinction.  If this is not possible then I-123 uptake is sometimes needed.  If you have had CT scan with iodine contrast recently then I-123 uptake is not likely to be interpretable anyway.
