can hyperthyroidism mimic the symptoms of a heart attack?

yes  - it can cause palpitations and some chest pain -- -but if you have sx of heart attack, never assume it is anything besides a heart attack --- get medical attention ASAP

One of the symptoms of Hyperthyoidism is Heart Palpitations where your heart is racing quickly. I've had this symptom which can be scary. However, I have many hyperthroid symptoms but my blood tests have been negative.

I WAS HYPER FOR 2 MONTHS MY TSH WAS 0.01 I NEVER WANT TO GO THRU THAT AGAIN. I LAYED IN BED FOR 1MONTH AND felt like a nervous wreck and i found my self clinching my fists alot. I was miserable.I was losing hair. Now the thyrodnitis turn Hypo tsh 16. I feel for any one that is hyper. It took me going to 3 differant endo before I found the right treatment. some doctors didnt want to treat me. So anyway Good Luck and seek a good doctor . I have a long way to go but i will get there.

hi ..i also just found out my TSH is 0.01 and am due to go and see a endo next month apart from the shakes and diahrea i feel ok, but am worried what to expect at the hospital
