pain in neck,throat

doc. seen a ent had she said the nodule is large (5.2cm) and she like to remove them at 4cm. so, i guess i have surgery. but, the symptoms of ear & neck pain, sore throat, hoarseness is from acid reflux, she looked and said my vocal cords are red & inflamed so she think that cuz the symptoms not the nodule?  i feel lots of pressure around my neck sometimes feels like my neck, throat is on fire.  is it possible this could be the problem?  this will be my 2nd thy. surgery, already had my r. thy. removed. tsh down from 30.4 to 8.2.  thank you

The inflamed cords are not due to the nodule but the reflux.

The pressure is likely due to the nodule and removing it may be the best option, given the size.
