Armour thryoid

by AliHuff, May 07, 2008 11:45AM
Is Armour thryoid still available?  My regular drugstore no longer carries it but a nearby drug store has it available in
half size tablets (for Me).  Both drugstores are in the same chain.  Puzzling.

This discussion is related to Synthroid and other pills.

Yes.  It's still available!  I live in Tampa FL and I get it at CVS.

Yes it's still available!  I am in Florida and both Walgreens and CVS carry it by me.  For a while, they were out of certain doses, like the 3 grain.  I guess they (Armour manufacturer) had to pull certain doses off the shelf until it was proven without a shadow of a doubt that the doses were accurate.  So, I had to take two 1.5 grain pills instead until they got it figured out.

Call that pharmacy you went to and tell them to call Forest Pharmacuticals - They have plenty and are more than willing to take orders for stock.

I was able to get Armour up until October at Rite Aid. For November, I could not get it.  I am glad I renewed every 23 days, as this allowed me over the years on Armour to have a few months extra supply. Unfortunately some of it is the new formuka and from what I'm seeing I don't do as well on it.  Right now, there's a backorder on it, but I don't plan on going back on it. I plan on switching to Nature-throid once that comes out of backorder.
