Would have been nice if they would have told you it was to tweak the camera instead of making you worry that you had some huge problem. :-/
I'm glad things worked out well. Sounds like you will have nice pictures of that nasty thyroid bed. :-) I agree with you about killing off all those little buggers! You made me giggle with that comment. Thanks, I needed something to smile about today.
Rest, you are on the road to recovery!!
**HUGS**
Everything went well with the SPECT image. I found out last Friday they were using a new camera that needed some tweeking. That's why they wanted me to come back for the SPECT image. The SPECT image did show some iodine absorption in the thyroid area (which I expected some). The doctor I spoke with today said there was no way of knowing if it was normal thyroid cells or cancerous, and my endo would be following up with blood test. I'm very confident my surgeon got out as much as was humanly possible. So hopefully the RAI will hit those leftover thyroid cells REEEEALLY, REEEEEALY hard and succeed in murdering every little one of those buggars!!!!
I had my TSH, thyroglobulin (Tg), Tg antibodies, and ionized calcium tested today. This is the first test after RAI and being on levothyroxin for 10 days. I'm scheduled to have an appt with my endo in 4 wks. So I will probably have some more blood test done a few days before that. So bottom line, I'm at that point in my treatment where I wait for blood test and wait some more for some more blood test. So far day by day I get a little more energy back and I hope SOONER that later that I will begin to feel "normal"...whatever that entails!
