My TSH isn't as high as yours (around 20), but I do not have any hypo symptoms because I have a pituitary issue that keeps my TSH artificially high. What's much more important than TSH is your FT3 and FT4 levels. These are the actual thyroid hormones and much more important than TSH in diagnosing and treating thyroid disease. Do you have the results of those? If so, please post with reference ranges. Ranges are specific to each lab and have to come from your own lab report. How long ago did you stop taking meds?

If your FT4 is higher, that IS why you have more energy, regardless of where your TSH is. TSH causes NO symptoms...it's just a messenger from your pituitary to your thyroid to tell the thyroid to produce more T3 and T4. So, all symptoms are the result of LOW levels of thyroid hormone (T3 and T4), not TSH.
Well I've actually felt better in terms of having a lot more energy with high TSH but that's probably because my FT4 is higher than it has previously been, as far as I know. It was probably lowish and the TSH fixed it.
But I still had other symptoms. I'm not sure what symptoms medication will bring, as I've just started it.
