~* Thyroid Health Pages ~* Looking for Volunteer(s) to put together some pages to add to the Health Pages .. inside is a link which

refers you to the MedHelp Heart Disease Community's Health Page:

http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/list?cid=61&category=Show%20all%20Health%20Pages

If anybody wants to lend a hand to develop something similar (of course does not have to be as elaborate as we first set it up)  for our Thyroid Community it would be a terrific asset and it also would help new members find answers to questions at the click of their mouse which will allow us to have more time for other questions!

What are your thoughts?  Post or send me a message ... open to any and all suggestions and, of course, willing to take any volunteers to see what they can start for the pages!

Thanks,

Cheryl

My "Heartfelt" thanks for the warm welcome!

I've heard wonderful things about your forum and I can see why!  What a great "family!"  I've learned a teeny bit about thyroid "stuff," but I know where I can learn a LOT more..lol

As for the Health Pages, I'm still in the learning curve BIG TIME!  LOL...We'll get through this with everyone's help : )

Thanks again!  I'll be back to read and learn more : )

Hey guys,

Just noticed your reference to my neck of the woods (Heart forums)....HI from yonder!

When you create the Health Pages, you use the format that pops up (no technical terms here...lol).  Anyway, when you post a link, it will turn blue if it's a hyperlink  (HOT link?)

Hope that helps!
Hope you are all doing well!

All this is over my head. I was curious tho about the the heart disease link. I'm listed in both areas because I have cardiomypathy and thryoid nodules. I've just joined this group and have spent more time at thyroid, but plan to get involved w/cardio. If there's anything I can do to help w/my limited chat savvy, I'm willing...

Yes, I noticed they were blue and direct links .. I promise to find out as I recall that being a concern, too when we first brainstormed our ideas along with copyrighting .. so I have volunteers and I'll get us some direction now!

Well, that didn't work.

Must be a different board code.
Maybe the hotlinking will be your department. :-)

A cold link is what you posted in your first post. A hot link is a link you can click on, rather than pasting it into the address bar.

The blue links on the heart pages are hotlinks.

I'll find out .. probably won't know until sometime next week .. the Mgr I need to ask is out of town on business ... a hot link is a "link" to another source outside of MedHelp, right?   I just want to be sure myself with the terminology :)

Thanks for you help .. once we get these pages up and running we can continue to add info to them quite easily!

Do you know what the policy is on hot links?
Are hotlinks allowed without review?

I think it's a great idea.
I'd be willing to help.

Need clarification on hotlink policy. It used to be a no-no because of virus concerns.
