I have had quite a few TSH draws based on my feelings that something wasn't great with the dosing of the Synthroid and all but one of these tests proved my instincts correct even when it was only 3-4 weeks into an adjusted dosing, etc.  Only the last one was irrelavent and the stress due to other reasons but I went into that TSH blood draw telling my Endo it is either from outside stress or TSH has changed and I needed to know which so I could eliminate the stress in my life and know the TSH was a good #.

Hello and I am new to this site. I have follicular thyroid cancer and just had RAI done on Jan 14th. Currently taking Synthroid which I hate the side effects I have been having. I know it takes a long time for the amount to get regulated, but I feel the Synthroid makes me feel worse than better. I don't go back to my endo until the end of Feb.

Hello everyone! I am pretty new to this group as well. I have hyperthyroidism dxd December 2007. This forum has been VERY informative & helpful to me. It is just nice to have somewhere to go & ask questions to other people with the same health issues. I feel like I am much more prepared for my next appt with Endo on Feb 15th, so I can ask some educated questions about further treatment. So thanks to all of you that have been so helpful & understanding. It means alot.

Hi, new here too.  I have posted a couple questions and had some responses - thank you!  Had  TT 1/9 and so far am pleased with it.  Have had Hashi. for almost 10 years and recently found (by ultrasound) that I had some nodules that were growing a bit too quickly, had FNA that revealed Hurthle cells (which I guess can be "normal" with Hashi - I just don't get how that can be considered normal but what do I know).  Happy to say there was no cancer found in thyroid after TT.

Post this information on a different thread under "Post a question" let the others look at this information too. better to have your own thread then keep adding to this one. Title you question. "see my symptoms please" and get this info attached to that. I am by far not an expert - but feel many here have a suggestion for you. My thought is: you are not on the Synthroid long enough 4 to 6 weeks and then another test to see where you are. I do not know the side effects of Effexor, but  I see many people here talk about it.

Get on your own thread for answers. Good luck

i'm feeling very antsy and anxious, at times...also have an odd feeling in the left side of my neck and jaw...almost like they are swollen...and yes, this is the first time on synthroid...my tsh was 6.0 and doc put me on 50mcg...been on it going on two weeks...i'm also taking effexor (new med also)...started on 37.5, then to 75 and now on 150 mg of effexor...so i'm not sure which med (if either) is causing these symptoms

Before jumping to the theory of your dosage being to high. What are U experiencing? Is this a recent dosage change or is the first time you are on it?  If so how long? Synthroid takes a very long time to regulate in your body.
